Exceptional very exceptional experience from walking in the door to walking back out! Me and my wife have been wanting to eat here and finally got the opportunity this afternoon! The ladies serving the food were as sweet nice and helpful as could be! The food was delicious just absolutely what I wanted and needed! Reminded me of growing up and eating grandma’s cooking! Food was seasoned just right and cooked perfectly! If you are looking for good down home cooking look no further! This will be our regular spot from now on!! Everything is priced very reasonable the quality and quantity is 10/10. Definitely recommend!

A comfortable dining area greets you when you enter the restaurant. Nice folks working the cafeteria line. It’s clean and well run. So many delicious choices from the main courses, the scrumptious sides, roll or cornbread pancake, and tempting desserts. Even the choices of drinks available. Great food, great portions and an even greater value. I am so glad I went and I am grateful to the folks who work here for making my stay so pleasant! Update April 2024 We got the fried chicken and two sides for 13.25! The fried chicken was perfect. The turnip greens were tender and delicious. Fried apples, sweet potatoes and the cornbread pancake were all great. The food tastes so familiar because it’s homemade with solid ingredients and a nice recipe. I was protecting my food when I was eating it because it was so good and I didn’t want to share it with my dining companion. That’s when you know it’s good! It was another perfect southern cooked meal!

Food - 10/10 every thing was good and I do mean EVERYTHING !!! Service - 10/10 cafeteria style service. Beautiful nice sistas serving the food Atmosphere- 10/10 nothing like being amongst your folks and elders reminding you of eating at grandmomma’s house for Sunday dinner

Oh my!!! Delish, yumtastic! Food serve “cafeteria” style so suggest making selection while in line. I had smothered pork chop, greens & rice and wife had fried chicken, greens and mac-n-cheese. Tasted everything and would definitely get the fried chicken next time in Nashville. Hot roll was super fresh and tasted like soaked dough in butter before baking. Love, love, lover this place!

My son and I are visiting Nashville for the first time and wanted to experience local authentic soul food. We were not disappointed! The food and service were amazing, and the friendly atmosphere made it feel like home.

Coming from Mississippi, I grew up eating some great southern food. It’s been difficult to find in Nashville. I had a smothered pork chop that was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The look and feel of the restaurant are also great. I’ll definitely be back!

Local Nashville soul food restaurant. Family friendly sit down atmosphere. You get your food through a cafeteria style line. Many great options. The food was delicious. I ordered beef tips over yellow rice, potato casserole, and green. With fried cornbread.

My family and I had the BEST fried chicken we've ever tasted here. The sides we mind blowingly delicious. If we ever are in Nashvilled again, we WILL be back. The ladies were so sweet, and the food was amazing. There is so much history on the walls as well. It's definitely a place not to miss. Some type if potato casserole we had too, was phenomenal!
